Starting Aug. 1, 2020 travelers who test negative for coronavirus 72 hours before arriving in Hawaii will be able to avoid the state’s mandatory, 14-day quarantine.
Your tropical dream vacation awaits you at Kumulani I-1, a deluxe, ground-level two-bedroom condominium featuring ocean, mountain, and lush tropical views. Located inside the historic Mauna Kea, the resort built by billionaire businessman Laurance S. Rockefeller, this elegant unit has a tasteful decor and a spacious, open-concept floorplan ideal for entertaining guests and conversing with family and friends.
Prepare a delicious meal or light snack in the gourmet chef’s kitchen, which is equipped with all large appliances and a variety of culinary essentials. Ocean views can also be experienced from the great room which is comfortably furnished with a plush, queen-sized roll away sofa, a Smart TV, and DVR. Stroll outside to the covered wrap-around lanai where you’ll find cushioned chaise lounges, a table and chairs, and your own personal BBQ. The lanai is the perfect place to sip your morning coffee or to dine alfresco with your guests while watching the sunset.
When you’re ready for a relaxing night of sleep, the master bedroom is furnished with everything you need, including a king-sized bed, a Smart TV, a writing desk and a walk-in closet. The master suite’s windows and slider offer ocean and tropical views, as well as lanai access. The ensuite master bathroom features dual sinks, a walk-in shower, a soaking tub, and sumptuous cotton towels. The guest bedroom at Kumulani I-1 is furnished with a dresser and a large closet, two twin-sized beds which can be converted into a King bed and a soft chaise lounge, which could accommodate a small child. A window with a bamboo shade lets in the fresh ocean air and just the right amount of light and the guest bathroom features a walk-in shower and a nicely sized sink and vanity.
Additional amenities at Kumulani I-1 include central air-conditioning, ceiling fans throughout the unit, a washing machine and dryer, as well as an iron, ironing board, and a hairdryer in each bathroom. Complimentary Wifi, highspeed internet access, and long-distance telephone access are also available.
Outdoors you’ll love the convenience of the single-car garage, which is stocked with a variety of beach equipment, including boogie boards, beach chairs, and an umbrella. The Kumulani Pool Pavilion is steps away from your unit and features ocean views in a gorgeous tropical setting. A variety of seating as well as a barbecue pavilion provides the perfect place to grill your favorite fish, meats, and vegetables while relaxing with family and friends.
Guests wishing to receive charging privileges at the Mauna Kea and Westin Hapuna Beach Hotels (this includes access to both fitness centers, discounted golf and tennis, and reserved chairs and towels at both swimming pools and beaches) may pay an additional $75 per day, per family through Mauna Kea Services.
For stays longer than 21 days, lower rates are offered. These surcharges are in addition to the annual fee paid by the owner. Of course, guests may visit both beaches in the public area with the beach equipment and towels we provide without paying for the amenity package.
