Description

The estate is gated and set upon 18 private acres atop famous Runyon Canyon. It's the best of everything on a grand scale. Enter the property through 10-foot high wrought iron gates to a 15-car circular motor court with center fountain and 5-car garage. The large, marble, 25-foot entry foyer showcases a sweeping grand staircase and 20-foot ceilings for picturesque views out to the Pacific Ocean. The large dining room can comfortably seat sixteen guests, affording spectacular views of the Hollywood sign, Runyon Canyon, Griffith Observatory, downtown LA and the San Gabriel Mountains beyond. The large professional chef's kitchen is made for entertaining on a grand scale. It features a large Sub Zero refrigerator, a separate full-size freezer, two ovens, a 5-burner stove top, three sinks, two dishwashers, a microwave, an abundance of marble counter space, custom cabinetry, a large walk-in pantry, a 7-seat breakfast bar, and large window that overlooks the Hollywood sign and beyond. Adjacent to the kitchen is the cozy family room with a 70-inch flat screen TV, fireplace, wet bar, and ample seating for comfort and relaxation. With large windows and french doors leading out to a granite Juliet balcony overlooking the Runyon Canyon trail, it is the perfect spot for morning coffee and watching hikers on the trails below. Off the family room on the main level is the "in-laws" master bedroom featuring a comfortable sitting area, ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet. The hallway leads to the laundry room, 5-car garage and back staircase to second-floor bedrooms. From the entry foyer, a stone staircase leads to a lower level where you will find the wine cellar and tasting room with built in wine racks, an oak table and seating for four. Descend further down the steps to enjoy games in the billiard room, drinks at the wet bar and warmth by a large fireplace. Also on this lower level you will find the 16-seat movie theatre plus two guest bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms and incredible views. With several chaise lounges, a covered cabana and a large gas BBQ grill, it's the perfect place for outdoor relaxation, fun and entertainment. Upstairs in the mansion interior is the enormous, 1,500 square foot master suite plus two additional ensuite guest rooms. The master bedroom has large windows on two sides offering incredible 270 degree views, a private terrace overlooking the canyon & city, a sumptuous sitting area and a large walk-in closet. The 750-square foot master bathroom features a large jacuzzi tub with views out at the Hollywood sign, Runyon Canyon and LA city skyline. A huge double shower, two restrooms and separate "his and her" vanities complete the master bathroom suite. Four additional master bedrooms are situated on the main floor and lower level, each with comfortable sitting areas, amazing views and ensuite bathrooms. The Solar Mansion estate is located at the top of Runyon Canyon Park, just a 5-minute drive to the heart of the Sunset Strip. TriCanyon Concierge Services are available to you for additional fees. Services include housekeepers, chefs, drivers, butlers, exotic car rentals, restaurant and nightclub reservations, masseuses, yoga instructors, provisioning the home with your favorite food and drinks, personal shopping and more. Owner reserves the right to have guests sign a rental agreement provided by Owner to Guest prior to moving into the Property. We are happy to send a copy of the Rental Agreement in advance of booking. Please inquire. Owner reserves the right to directly collect a $5,000 refundable security deposit payable in cash or certified check either prior to or on the day of check-in.
