Description

This former home of US Senator Hiram Fong sprawls over two acres with a large lawn and a working Hawaiian fishpond. Hawaiian fishponds are unique to the islands. They served as an advanced form of aquaculture to supply the Hawaiians with a constant supply of fresh fish and are found nowhere else in the world.

While convenient to attractions in Honolulu, Waikiki, Kailua and the North Shore the estate is extremely private and peaceful. Two charming Hawaiian dwellings lead down with direct access to the ocean. Impeccable views of Kaneohe Bay, the Ko’olau mountain range and Kualoa/Chinaman’s Hat await guests. Romantic evening strolls along the ocean wall are encouraged.

The main home is situated at the bottom of the property just steps from the water. It has a master suite, two guest bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Slide open the large glass doors to fully appreciate our island breezes. The house has a large patio perfect evening cocktails and a BBQ. The interior of the main house contains an open format dining/living/kitchen area for family gatherings with a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining table, island seating area and flat screen TV. Kids and adults alike will also enjoy the full sized ping-pong table!

The cottage is a short walk from the main home and has two guest rooms and one bathroom. The cottage’s full kitchen and living room also have fantastic ocean views.

A volleyball net is provided for play on the large lawn. Guests can also take the standup paddleboards out on the bay (mornings are best). We hope that the views and activities that you’ll experience on the Senator’s estate will make for lifetime memories.

Standard occupancy for this rental is 8 guests with a max occupancy of 10 guests. There will be an extra fee for additional guests over the standard occupancy.

The property will be made exclusively available to the renter for a full period of 30-days and no one else may occupy the property during that period. Rates based on a 30 day rental period. Please Inquire.
