Miami has always been a magnet for celebrities — the beaches, the nightlife, the privacy that only a tinted-window town can offer. Updated for 2026 (with one hotel from our earlier list now literally gone), here are nine of the most documented celebrity-stay locations in Miami and Miami Beach — every name below is sourced from public reporting.

If you want to book a stay in one of these buildings, most of them are condo-hotels, where individual residences inside the hotel are privately owned and rentable like a hotel room — often with the same staff and amenities but with the space, privacy and savings of a private villa. We rent condo-hotel units in most of the buildings below. Inventory links inline.

1. The Setai, Miami Beach

Address: 2001 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139

A South Beach Art Deco landmark synonymous with celebrity guests. Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Gisele Bündchen, Madonna, and U2 are all reported regulars, and the hotel's Lenny Kravitz-designed Florida Room recording studio has hosted Jay-Z, Chris Brown, and Cat Power. The Setai also has a residential tower with butler service that's a favorite for celebrities who want privacy with the run of the hotel's amenities (Oyster).

2. Faena Hotel Miami Beach

Address: 3201 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140

The Mid-Beach showpiece — gilded interiors by Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin, a 24-karat-gold mammoth sculpture in the courtyard. Madonna has stayed, alongside guests including John Legend, Pitbull, Zac Efron, Katie Holmes, and Serena Williams (Galavante). The hotel famously hosted Chanel's 2022/23 Cruise Collection show, drawing Lily-Rose Depp, Pharrell Williams, Marion Cotillard, and Lori Harvey (Grazia).

3. The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach

Address: 1 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139

Designed by Morris Lapidus, originally the 1953 DiLido — now a Ritz with José Andrés dining (Zaytinya, Lapidus Bar). The South Beach Ritz has a long history as a private retreat for entertainment-industry visitors, though the hotel is known for keeping guest activity discreet — exactly its appeal. 4. W South Beach

Address: 2201 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139

Probably the most-cited celebrity hotel on the list. LeBron James reportedly booked six poolside cabanas at W South Beach the weekend he announced his Heat signing (CNN). Also documented stays: Cameron Diaz, Katie Holmes, Hilary Swank, Pamela Anderson, Chris Rock, and Beyoncé (Oyster — 7 Hotels for Celebrity Sightings in South Beach). Wrap-around balconies on the ocean side make it a paparazzi-friendly favorite.

5. Four Seasons Hotel Miami (Brickell)

Address: 1435 Brickell Ave, Miami, FL 33131

The Brickell tower is where celebrities go when they explicitly don't want to be seen. Documented guests include Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Jennifer Lopez, and Janet Jackson — and notable Brickell-area celebrity residents over the years have included José José, Luis Miguel, J.Lo, and Marc Anthony (Oyster — Best Hotels for Spotting Celebrities in Miami). Don't expect a pool scene here — that's the point.

6. Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Address: 4441 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140

The original Miami Beach showpiece (Morris Lapidus, 1954) — and home to LIV nightclub, which has hosted Drake, Jennifer Lopez, and Justin Bieber (Inside Miami Beach — Top Party Hotels). Documented hotel stays: Chris Rock, Beyoncé, Gwyneth Paltrow, Maria Sharapova, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kim Kardashian, and Christina Aguilera. Historic guests include Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball, and Judy Garland.

8. The Miami Beach EDITION

Address: 2901 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140

Ian Schrager's Edition concept brought to Mid-Beach. Getty Images alone hosts a "Celebrity Sightings at Miami Beach Edition Hotel" stock photography collection (Getty Images) documenting the steady stream of public figures through the lobby, the pool, and Matador Room. A reliably star-dense Miami Beach property.

9. Soho Beach House Miami

Address: 4385 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140

Members-only — but the cumulative celebrity guest list is unmatched. Adrien Brody, Naomi Campbell, and Paris Hilton during Art Basel weeks; Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sylvester Stallone, and (less often) Oprah Winfrey (Refinery29; Soho House — Beach House member notes). Soho Beach House isn't a condo-hotel, but its 50 hotel rooms are available to members and member-introduced guests — and the neighborhood (just north of the Edition and Faena) is where the densest celebrity activity in Mid-Beach happens any given Art Basel week.

These nine buildings are some of the most-photographed addresses in Miami — and for several of them, you don't have to be on a hotel waitlist to stay there. We rent private condo-hotel units inside these buildings: the same staff, the same pools, the same views, but the privacy and space of a residence and (often) better nightly rates than a hotel room.
